Larchwood Care is protecting residents and team members by using data-driven technology to ensure its care homes remain COVID-19 safe.
With the current challenges facing us, we understand that you may be concerned about the safety of care homes. That is why we have introduced the COVID-19 Safe programme to all Larchwood Care Homes. Backed by our award-winning digital IMPaCT Audit tool and Care Portal reporting system, the COVID-19 Safe programme ensures stringent levels of infection control and cleaning in all of our homes.
At Larchwood Care, we have been working with the innovative IMPaCT Audit and Care Portal systems developed by Worcestershire based Healthcare Management Solutions since 2016. These systems work in harmony to deliver a clear and objective view of every aspect of each care home.
With precise information gathered regularly within each care home, we can constantly observe the effectiveness of our infection control procedures and regulatory compliance.
These systems have proved vital in our decision making during the coronavirus pandemic. They have helped us build and implement strong infection control procedures and enable us to stringently monitor our progress in keeping Larchwood Care homes free of COVID-19. Additionally, these systems have also allowed us to ensure a constant supply of PPE to all of our care homes throughout the crisis.
Now that routine testing of residents and staff is in place, the Care Portal system has the added ability to log test results. This helps us to identify risks and to act on them quickly. Thanks to this, we can safely accept new admissions and offer pre-booked safe visits at many of our care homes. Please contact your local Larchwood Care Home for their most up-to-date visiting information.
However, the situation is now changing frequently. With daily monitoring of both local and national infections rates, public health data, and our own digital systems the COVID-19 Safe programme remains responsive to the rapidly changing situation. Following a rise in the infection rate in the local area, or if an outbreak is detected in the home, all visits must be cancelled for the safety of all.
The COVID-19 Safe programme is designed to give you peace of mind and to ensure that our residents continue to be cared for and supported by our professional and dedicated teams in a safe environment.
