Willenhall based care home Swan House has become famous for its striking Remembrance displays in recent years. Thanks to the efforts of its team and residents, 2021 is no exception.
With Armistice Day a key date in the events calendar for the home, residents were keen to get to work on this years’ decorations.
During the home’s regular craft sessions, scores of handcrafted poppies were made, along with a large poppy wreath, silhouettes of life-size soldiers and Spitfires.
Photos of the finished Swan House Remembrance displays have so far been viewed by almost 9,000 people on Facebook!
Following a few days of sharing memories of loved ones who had fought in the last world wars, on the 11th hour, of the 11th day, of the 11th month, Swan House residents and team members fell silent to remember those who had lost their lives.
