Aberdeen care home, Cranford, has been rated as one of the top 20 in Scotland by relatives and residents.
Staff at the home on Cranford Road are delighted that Cranford has been named in the coveted “Carehome.co.uk Top 20 Awards 2021”.
The annual awards recognise the top 20 care homes in each region of the UK. Awards are based on the thoughts of residents, their families and friends.
Cranford Care Home has a dedicated team who are proud to deliver warm and compassionate care for residents in a homely, country house-style environment.
In recent reviews submitted to Carehome.co.uk, residents and relatives have praised the kindness of the staff, the excellent care, and how well safety has been managed during the pandemic.
In a recent review, a granddaughter of a resident of Cranford said: “I canโt believe the change in my great-grandma. Sheโs looking amazing and I can only thank the staff for looking after her as well as they do. The measures they have in place to make sure they are looked after, itโs amazing. Thereโs always a high about Cranford where the staff make it the home it is.”

Janis McFarlane, Larchwood Care’s regional director for Scotland, said: โIt is absolutely fantastic to see Cranford Care Home achieve this award, especially given the challenges that the staff team, residents and their relatives have been through during the pandemic.
“The fact that people took the time to submit such heartwarming reviews during a difficult period has been a lovely boost for all at the home. It is wonderful to read how much our residentsโ relatives appreciate what the care team do for their loved ones. This demonstrates the great sense of community around the home.โ
