We offer first class care for the elderly on a permanent or respite basis, delivered by highly trained professionals in lovely comfortable surroundings.
Our philosophy is simple; we want everyone to enjoy life to the full. We never forget that all our residents are individuals and we treat them with dignity, privacy and respect while offering freedom of choice and as much independence as possible.
Friends and family are welcome at any time. Hot drinks and snacks are always available and guests are invited to share a meal with residents. Our cook prepares three nutritious meals a day and the menu changes regularly to reflect seasonal produce. Special diets are catered for.
Residents have freedom to choose what to do and when. There is plenty going and our activities coordinator puts together a full programme which is adapted to suit the needs and wishes of our residents. Activities include quizzes, sing-alongs, reminiscence therapy, indoor games, art and craft, baking and wherever possible, trips out and about.

Dungate Manor is a five-star care home. The whole team from management, care team, kitchen team, entertainment team, etc. all work together tirelessly to make each resident feel safe, secure, cared for to the highest standard. They take the time to fully understand each residents personal needs, they focus on maintaining dignity, supporting everyone’s physical and mental health and always with compassion and a smile on their faces. Alongside this they continue to improve the Manor House keeping it to a high standard. During the two and a half years my father-in-law has resided there he has benefited from lovely new carpet, new comfortable armchairs, interactive wall decorations and time in the lovely garden too. Could not be happier with Dungate. Especially how they have managed during such a challenging time through Covid.
Dungate Manor and the whole team are beyond amazing, going over and above every day. Throughout the pandemic, they have maintained the utmost care for my father and all the other residents. They are unique in balancing individual personal needs to a high standard, whilst maintaining a happy, healthy, caring, fun, safe environment for their residents. They understand my fathers complex needs so well even when he struggles to communicate what these are, due to his Alzheimer’s. This enables my father to remain happy, content, calm.
I just want to express my sincere admiration and respect for the managers and staff at Dungate Manor. My father, who suffers from advancing Alzheimer's, has been a resident for over two years now and he is completely settled and very happy and relaxed. The care and the attention he receives from the excellent managers and staff is simply superb. Not only does this help my father, but it gives myself, and my sister and her family, peace of mind. We know our father is being professionally and compassionately looked after. Now, with Covid restrictions lifting, we are able to see our father regularly again, and, as always, the Dungate team have these visits perfectly managed. Excellent work. Excellent managers and staff. Excellent care home.
I knew the resident before she came to Dungate Manor and we needed somewhere safe for her. I can only praise the level of dedication of the entire team here. She wants for nothing and settled in straight away and because of surroundings, seemed to be very much at home. Apart from caring for her, the high level of domesticity is excellent. I can lunch with her anytime and visit anytime.

Our relative has been in Dungate Manor since August 2018 and despite her worsening Alzheimers, she has settled as well as possible. The staff are very keen for our relative to retain her dignity and independence for as long as possible. All staff exhibit caring attitudes with patience and in a friendly manner. Our relative is encouraged to socialise but never forced.
