Our Diamond House Care Home in Downham Market teamed up with local photographer Sauvage Photography to create a vibrant 2025 calendar, with proceeds going towards enhancing the residents’ gardening activities.
The calendar, a collaborative effort sponsored by local businesses, features captivating images taken throughout the year, showcasing themed events at the home. Highlights include festive celebrations such as Valentine’s Day, Easter, and Halloween, offering a glimpse into the rich and joyful lives of the residents.
With an initial print run of 100 copies, the care home aims to raise £900. Funds will primarily be used to expand the home’s much-loved gardening facilities, building on the success of its flourishing kitchen garden.
Allison Webster, Activities Coordinator at Diamond House, shared her enthusiasm: “We are so excited to have finally finished our calendar! Thanks to the support of Sauvage Photography and sponsorship from local businesses, we’ve been able to produce it at no cost, meaning every penny raised will go directly to the activity fund.
“This year, we purchased three large raised beds, and the residents have been growing a wonderful selection of vegetables and fruits, including carrots, potatoes, radishes, parsnips, lettuce, strawberries, and tomatoes. These have been a big hit with everyone, and we’d love to provide even more gardening spaces for residents to enjoy cultivating their own produce.
“We would really like to buy more raised beds. They are quite expensive, so this fundraiser is essential as the residents are very eager to expand their gardening efforts. The calendar sales could make a real difference.”
The calendar not only raises funds but also celebrates the thriving community and unique offerings of Diamond House, with the project bringing together residents, staff, and local supporters.
Allison expressed her gratitude for the collaboration: “A huge thanks to Chelsea at Sauvage Photography and the multiple local businesses who have supported this project. We couldn’t have done it without their help.”
