Hillcrest Care Home, a cherished part of the Larchwood Care family, is thrilled to introduce the ‘Blue Light Bakery’ – a monthly gathering dedicated to honoring the courageous efforts of our local NHS staff, firefighters, police officers, and clinical teams.
Commencing on the 7th June 2024, and recurring on the first Friday of each month, the ‘Blue Light Bakery’ will provide a heartfelt setting within the nurturing atmosphere of Hillcrest Care Home. This initiative aims to recognise the exceptional commitment and bravery demonstrated by our community’s emergency services personnel.
Amidst the comforting ambiance of Hillcrest Care Home, the ‘Blue Light Bakery’ will offer an array of homemade baked goods and refreshing beverages, meticulously prepared by both residents and staff as tokens of appreciation.
Leona Fitch, the esteemed Home Manager at Hillcrest, shared her excitement for the initiative, stating, “Our emergency services personnel go above and beyond every single day to ensure our community’s safety and health. The Blue Light Bakery is our way to say ‘thank you’ and to show them that their dedication does not go unnoticed. We are inviting these remarkable people to join us for a relaxing break, enjoy some delicious treats, and feel our community’s gratitude.”
Hosted at Hillcrest Care Home, nestled in the heart of Norwich, the event is exclusively open to members of the emergency services. Beyond expressing gratitude, this initiative fosters a sense of solidarity and strengthens the bond between Hillcrest residents and those who selflessly dedicate themselves to public service.
Join us at Hillcrest Care Home’s ‘Blue Light Bakery’ as we come together to honor and celebrate our local heroes, acknowledging their selfless contributions to our community’s well-being.
